Cynthia Paap: My "trophy" of God's grace

I read this note on Facebook and was so touched by it, I contacted Cynthia and asked if I could share her intimate story of the grave news she received about her baby, the strong suggestion to abort him and the conclusion the Lord brought her to. Get some tissues, and get ready to experience a story you'll never forget. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My heart is heavy this morning. I feel the need to finally share this story with you, in hopes that it will reach someone who needs to hear it. April 13, 2010: A doctor brought in the images from my MRI and put them up on a big screen where we could clearly see our baby's spine had stopped forming at the 5th lumbar. She said, "Everything from here down is going to have issues. You'll need to catheterize him at a minimum of every 2 hours, and give him enemas every morning, and lifelong diapers. I can't stress to you enough the importance of catheterization. And in addition to the bowel and urinar...

Abortions and its effect on marriages: The ugly and rarely spoken truths

Though 18.4% of abortions are performed on married women, the aftermath of the abortion  and its effect on her and her husband are rarely discussed, researched or published. There are many arguments for abortion , but none of them are sufficient to relieve the husband or wife’s unbearable grief from participating in their own child’s death. Most abortions are performed within the first trimester, during the time the baby is not viable. This is an elementary argument. Why? Because it is common knowledge that babies are not capable of surviving independently, from the day they are born and at least, up until they are three years old. If a parent does not feed, cloth and provide adequate shelter for a child within this age range, the child will die. Every mother and father knows this is true. When is a baby considered alive? Are life and death processes or events? They are both events. You are either alive or you are dead. And nothing dead ever continues to grow and de...

180 Movie: Pro-Choice to Pro-Life in seconds!

abort ( verb ) - to cause to cease or terminate. To abort or not to abort...that is the question. But what is the answer? I mean, the right answer? Whether you ask an unbeliever or sadly, even professing Christians this question, the answer varies. It seems odd that a Bible believing Christian would support the "choice" for a woman to abort, that is, terminate the life of her unborn baby, but many professing Christians have no problem with this. Why? I believe it is because both professing Christians and unbelievers have been deceived by the devil to think that because we cannot see life and because this life is not ready to be birthed from the mother's womb, the baby is not really alive. But how can something or someone that is growing and developing be dead? Have you ever seen anything in all creation, a plant, a virus, an animal that was dead, continue to develop? No. Only that which is living is capable of growing and developing, just as the baby in the mother'...

When does life begin?

January 22, 2011 will be the 38 th anniversary of the most horrific decision made; the right to murder human babies. In light of this, I thought it vital to have my very first guest poster be Mr. Art Helms (a.k.a. Grampaw Helms). After reading his note on Facebook, I asked if I could post his writing on my blog. Thankfully he said “Yes.” After reading this, I know you’ll be glad he did too. My prayer is that we, as God’s holy and dearly loved children will boldly stand up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves; unborn babies. And that we will better answer those who oppose us with a deeper understanding of the meaning of life. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When writing the 1973 majority opinion in Roe v. Wade, Justice Harry Blackmun wrote: “We need not resolve the difficult question of when life begins . . . the judiciary at this point in the development of man’s knowledge, is not in a position to speculate as to the answer.” The Court then admitted: “If ...
