www.BibleScreen.com We can spend our time thinking and worrying about the things in this life that are passing away just as quickly as we are, or we can spend our time seeing this life in the view of the next; and make decisions based on eternity rather than on the here and now. Like many of you (I'm sure) I have some stressful situations that I have to deal with from time to time, and not all are related to my health. Sometimes it's family issues, sometimes it's difficult issues with friends within our church and outside our church, and sometimes it's issues with my own selfish desires...okay, mostly it's issues with my own selfish desires. But regardless of the stressor, I must remain steadfast in the Word of God and in worship and prayer, lest I become consumed with my desire to find immediate relief for my stress, and forget there are other hurting souls near me. Today was one of those days. I had an MRI today. Something I'm not ecstatic ...

A Woman Worthy To Be Praised
Tomorrow is Mother's Day, a day where many mother's will be honored and celebrated by her children, husbands, other family members, friends and even some online friends the Lord has allowed. It'll be a beautiful day, but is this all that it's about? Is Mother's Day, a day only to honor our earthly mothers or be honored ourselves? Or is a day, another day we get to give thanks to God for His inexpressible Gift of Christ (2 Cor 9:15)? It's a tough question even for me to answer because like everyone else, I like to be praised, applauded, honored, appreciate and noticed. I like being made to feel special. Don't we all? About four years ago when I was in the midst of nearly daily doctor's appointments and serious and painful tests, I prayed to the LORD for help and He led me to a faithful sister in Christ, Rachel Barkey . Rachel, a wife and mother of two young children, fiercely battled breast cancer for more than four years. Only a few months...

A Donor For Laurie!
Hello precious sisters! A little over a month ago, I asked you for your fervent prayers and sacrificial giving to participate in the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) in honor of my dear friend and sister in Christ, Laurie . First, I'd like to thank all of you for your prayers and also for registering as a bone marrow donor with the NMDP . Second, I'd like to share some FABULOUS news with you! I just found out several days ago that a sweet, precious 19 year old young lady is a near perfect match for my darling Laurie! We don't know when all of this will happen yet, but we are so grateful and so in awe of God's provision! Here's the email she sent out: My transplant doctor called this morning to tell me.... THEY FOUND A DONOR FOR ME!!!!!!! It is CONFIRMED!!!!! I will be going to meet with my oncologist on Sept. 11th to be first phlebotomized (draining of my blood because of the Polycythemia).... but we will be discussing the other more important news ...

Help Save My Friend's Life!
Hello everyone: I need your help. About 6 years ago, my dear friend and sister in Christ, Laurie (we've been friends for 20 years) was diagnosed with Follicular Lymphoma Stage III. She's needing a bone marrow transplant to save her life. Originally, they thought they could use her own stem cell since she was not a match with any family members and seems with no one else so far who are already registered with the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP). She got some really bad news today. Her cancer is not only growing, but she also has another disease called Poluycythemia Rubra Vera (also known as PV. PV compromises her bone marrow and now she can not go through with the stem cell transplant. She is the only known case with both Follicular Lymphoma Stage III and PV so her oncologist is trying to figure out what to do. If PV is not taken care of quickly, she will die and leave behind a husband and three young boys. She will go in next week to find out if her Follicular Lymphoma S...
