When I was only three years old and I lied, I knew it was wrong. No one had to tell me lying was wrong. I knew lying was wrong even when I thought up the lie and chose the “perfect” time to tell it. When I was about five years old, I knew it was wrong to steal my friend's ring, but I wanted it. Knowing it was wrong, I stole it in secret. Just like my lie was crafted in secret; and so are all sins...planned and plotted in the recesses of our sin-filled flesh that only Christians battle with daily. God is faithful, and He did for us, what He promised: “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” ~ Hebrews 10:16 One of the things that amazes me about God is how He enables our finite minds to understand deep things about His infinite Being no matter our age or intellect. I came to know Jesus as my Lord, my Master, my Savior and God when I was only four...

Never react to people, but always respond to God.
React vi- 1 to act in return or reciprocally 2 to act in opposition 3 to act in a reverse way; go back to a former condition, stage, etc. Respond vi - 1 to answer or reply positively or favorably. I was recently reminded of a time in my life, many years ago, when I was very hurt by something someone said and did. I ran to my Father God, cried and asked Him to protect me and help me to know what to do. My personal preference was to stay away from that person so they could never have another opportunity to hurt me again. Then my mind went to the Cross, and I could hear my Savior say, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Convicted by the Holy Spirit and with great pain, I chose to seek God's way of resolving conflict, rather than my way. No one said dying was pain less ...and it's not...it's very pain ful . But that's what Jesus calls us to do: carry our cross daily, and following Him so we too, can die to t...

I will not be afraid.
My favorite place to sit and meditate, is the ocean. I grew up near the Atlantic Ocean. Shortly after I turned 20, the Lord was pleased to move me to California where I lived for 9 years and spent much of my time at the Pacific Ocean, talking to God, listening for His voice and being in awe of His glorious creation! Sometimes, I’d look as far as my eyes could see, and I’d imagine myself alone, with no boat, out in the middle of the ocean, beyond the horizon, and no land in sight. This thought frightened me until I remembered, the LORD is with me, He will never leave me nor forsake me (1 Chronicles 28:20). Filled with peace, contentment reigned in my soul. “Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. ~ 1 Timothy 6:6-7 This was a critical time in my life; the Lord moved me so that I might repent and return to Him. Three years prior, God graciously and merciful delivered me from 13 years of...
The Epitome of God's Tender Mercy
The Lord Jesus IS the GIFT of all gifts. God made man. EMMANUEL. We do not celebrate this day to give gifts or to receive them; to decorate our homes or to feast on a sumptuous meal; to gather with family and dear friends; to sing carols or to do anything else. While these things have it's place and in themselves are not sinful, when they become the focus, the priority or why you look forward to Christmas, then you, like King Herod and Caesar Augustus will miss the most awesome privilege of knowing the epitome of God's tender mercy. JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD ALPHA and OMEGA SAVIOR REDEEMER THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH THE ROOT OF DAVID LAMB OF GOD WONDERFUL COUNSELOR MIGHTY GOD EVERLASTING FATHER PRINCE OF PEACE KING of kings LORD of lords HIGH PRIEST THE GOOD SHEPHERD THE DOOR OF THE SHEEP BRIGHT MORNING STAR LIGHT OF THE WORLD BREAD OF LIFE THE TRUE VINE THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE THE WORD OF GOD THE CORNER...

Learning to be a better listener
My wise husband always says, "If you're not clinically deaf, hearing is involuntary. Listening on the other hand,  is voluntary. Listening is an intentional choice someone makes to hear with their heart ." He's right! If a person is not clinically deaf, then they can hear...everything! You can hear the laundry machine running, or children playing outside; you can hear coffee brewing or conversations from co-workers in the cubicles around you. You can hear all kinds of things without ever intentionally deciding that you're going to hear them—you just do. But listening to understand what someone else is trying to communicate is an entirely different story. "Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore, put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls...

What Can We Give Our Children for Christmas?
My husband and I weren't raised in the best homes. I was raised among Korean-Buddhist where there was no mention of Christ at all, instead there was idol worship. Thanks be to God, He chose me for Himself and saved me at age four after providing me a way to church...alone....by bus, where I heard the Gospel for the first time! My darling husband was raised in a professing Christian home, but not by the standards of God or anything written in His word, but by the erroneous standards and beliefs of his parents that God wants people to be happy, no matter what. Thanks be to God He saved my darling husband when he was six and He faithfully drew my husband to His word and his spirit to seek Christ, in spite of his family's hypocrisy. With this background, it's clear that neither of us had any training on what a God-loving, Christ-honoring home looked like. We were clueless; and we knew it! Knowing this was a blessing! Why? Because we chose not to hide from the tru...

New look; same mission
Well, my precious and lovely sister-friend Edie Moore has done it again! With much prayer and intense listening to God's guidance, she designed this beautiful new template for my blog and I am so grateful to God for her! I've been wanting my blog to display the exquisiteness of Christ with the uniqueness of His calling to me for quite some time now. But I couldn't seem to find any already-mades that fit me and who God made me to be. I'm not the typical woman. I'm a tomboy who also loves the softness, flowers and all the essence of femininity that makes me one of God's little girls. And through Edie, God gave me this beautiful template that displays the simplicity and practical thinking of a boy, mixed with the gentleness and flowing grace of a girl. When people come to visit my blog, I want them to sense the love, elegance, peace, gentleness and humility of Christ. My desire is that each of you experience more of Christ and less of me as you are refreshed by ...

I'm thankful God makes us wait
Waiting is a strange concept in the 21st Century. And it’s relative. When you have to wait more than 5 minutes in a line at Target, you’re sure you’ve been waiting too long and begin to look around to see if another lane is opening. But if that 5 minutes is all you have left with a loved one, then it doesn’t seem nearly long enough. 30 minutes is too long to wait in traffic. But the first time you hold your newborn child, 30 minutes seems to pass quicker than a breath. When most of us are told we must wait for something, our first reaction is to grumble, roll our eyes and let out a huge sigh of dissatisfaction, followed by the usual question, “How long is the wait?” . For the most part, we’ve all become very impatient people, living in a very “instant” world where most things we want can be attained in a matter of only a few minutes -- that is, if we even have to wait that long. We have instant coffee, microwave popcorn, ready-made-meals, and clothes that are already worn and torn wit...
