Hello friends, Guess what? Ray Comfort and the Living Waters staff have created another inspiring movie that will cause you to examine your hearts (2 Cor 13:5), and exhort you to be holy as the Lord our God is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16). "Genius" gives insight into the life of John Lennon, and according to Ken Mansfield (the ex-U.S. Apple manager for the Beatles) "[It] will open your eyes." Reviewers of the pre-release are giving it two thumbs up. Best-selling author, Randy Alcorn, said it is "Fast-paced, thought-provoking and compelling." World Net Daily's Joseph Farah responded with, "You have outdone yourself!" while Ted Baehr of Movieguide called it "An entertaining and challenging insight…watch and wonder." Ray Comfort said he was amazed to discover that the Beatles aren't simply a rock group from a by-gone era, but that they are appealing to a new generation. "They have sold more than 2,303,500,000 r...

Thanksgiving with in-laws or outlaws?
Original digital art created by Dale Jackson, www.StratoArt.com It’s ironic that during this time of year, Thanksgiving and Christmas—a time that should generate hearts filled with gratitude and joy, often bring the opposite; hearts filled with envy, covetousness, bitterness, clamor, slander, gossip and hostility. And all this, by way of our in-laws (or outlaws) that many of us only see during this time of year. In the beginning of every marriage, everyone is usually on their best behavior, but as time goes by, “familiarity breeds contempt”. This is not only true within relationships, but it happens with special occasions that were meant to stir a person’s heart toward humility and gratitude; two things that are much needed, yet extremely lacking in our world today. We all have in-laws and some of us have outlaws for relatives. And, if we’re honest, some of us are the outlaws. You know, the ones who breed quarrels, who incite jealousy and gossip among our family ...

How should Christians vote, if at all?
Photo credit: Dale Jackson, www.StratoArt.com Should Christians vote? Yes! "And He [Jesus] said to them, 'Whose likeness and inscription is this?' They said to Him, 'Caesar's.' Jesus said to them, 'Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's.' And they marveled at Him.' " ~Mark 12: 17 ( ESV ) As Christians, we ought to marvel at Jesus’ desire for the separation of Church and State. And we must desire the same. We rightly separate Church and State by giving to God what is His (Luke 10:27), and giving the world, what belongs to it; our freedoms in Christ to obey His precepts and bless the world by supporting those who uphold God’s laws for the protection and provision of His saints (see Gen 41:37-41, 45:7-8; Jeremiah 25:8-9; Is 44:28, 45:1). Throughout biblical history, when God’s people have waned from wholeheartedly following His Word, He lifted up pagan leaders (e.g., Pharaoh...

Pastor Voddie Baucham on adoption, abortion and President Obama
This is an amazingly honest and and heartfelt testimony regarding the truths about adoption, abortion and President Obama and his position (or lack thereof) on the right that every human being should have: the right to life. Please watch and share this very short, yet extremely important video by Texas Right to Life. Pray for our country, and fervently pray about who you'll be voting for in this year's election. Never have it on your conscience that your vote went to someone who supports the killing of innocent, unborn babies; for this is an abomination before the sight of God.

The marriage triangle: You, your spouse and kids fulfilling God's purpose
One of the greatest blessings in a marriage is having children. And one of the most damaging aspects of a marriage are—having children. How do you keep your marriage and parenting the blessings that God meant them to be? You do it by remembering these four things: why God created marriage and children, what purpose they serve, who they're for, and the priority they have. God created both marriage and children to make you holy rather than provide you with temporal and sporadic periods of happiness. Marriage and children should always draw you to your knees in prayer and thanksgiving to God as you humbly ask for His wisdom and love so that you might deal rightly and kindly with your spouse and your children (Philippians 4:4-6). All aspects of a Christian's life is contained in the greatest commandment, "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" and to "love your neighbor as ...

Fear demonstrates lack of trust, producing lack of peace
Remember when we were little and there was always that older family member or teacher in our life that we could always trust to look out for our best interest...whether or not we wanted them to? Remember how they always spoke the truth to you, with a loving smile, a gentle touch and strong words of wisdom that cut your heart if you were in sin, yet was exactly what you needed to carry you through a trial? I'm grateful to my heavenly Father for all those adults who were used by God (whether they knew it or not) to make a frightened and often troubled little girl feel safe and loved. And as if that weren't more than I deserved, by God's grace and tender mercies, He provided me with the most magnificent husband who loves me better than anyone ever has because He loves me with God's perfect love that considers Christ first, rather than his personal desires, or even mine. I rest perfectly in that love. "but let him who boasts boast in this, that he u...

Do all Christians have a 'Christian' worldview?
Unfortunately, no. The simple definition of a Christian worldview is to see all of life through the eyes of Christ (whether it be marriage, parenting, politics, work, etc.); causing believers to want to know Him more in order to love Him better ( 2 Cor 5:9-10 ; 1 Peter 1:13-16 ). "He must increase, but I must decrease....that I may know Him [Christ] and the power of His resurrection, and may share His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead...I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way...” ~John 3:30; Philippians 3:10-11, 14-15 Once you’ve entered into a holy relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ [ read full article... ]

Remembering 9/11: Thankful for God's mercy
Today, many are remembering, praying for and honoring those who lost their lives on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. More than 3,000 innocent people died because 19 wicked people reveled in their murderous plots. But their revelry was short-lived. Rather than cripple us with fear, their evil and cowardice attack on the defenseless brought greater unity among Americans. United by what? By the God-given morality each of us lives by: no one wants to be killed, no one wants to lied to, no one wants someone to steal from them, and no one wants to live without a purpose or die alone. The reason why we all rallied together when a heinous crime was wrought upon our country, is because all these desires are put in our hearts by our Creator God, whether we want to admit it or not. We’re all united and governed by the law of morality ( Ten Commandments ) for the common good; and we ought to be grateful. “He [God] has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, He has put eternity...
