Crawling Off the Altar...Need Your Prayers!

Hello my beautiful sisters,

I need your prayers today! My sister-in-law and two of her 4 kiddos are coming to visit today and I'm very tempted to crawl off the altar and live against Romans 12:1 and Ephesians 5:1-2.

I've been continuously praying that I don't build up an idol of me! You know, creating an image of yourself that you want others to see? Have any of you fallen into that trap? If so, then please pray for me, what you'd like prayed for you! And don't worry, I will ABSOLUTELY NOT be insulted if you pray prayers of correction, discipline, refinement, etc. I so need those prayers...or how else will I ever grow? How else will I ever be conformed into the likeness of my Savior if I don't willingly submit to our Father's will and say, "Okay Lord, where do you want me to hold the chisel?" so that He can chip away all that is in me that doesn't resemble His Son?

I want so much to just be who I am! I want to be transparent with them, like I am with my incredibly godly husband, and precious boys....like I am with all of you! And I thank God not only for my amazing family He's given me, but also for all of you!

I've not met many of you in person (because we all live so far away from one another), but I love you so much already, thank God for you, and pray for you! There are no female "cat fights" here, there is no jealously, no condemnation, only God's truth in love without ugly "girly" criticism and I am so eternally grateful for all of you!

Thank you all so much for allowing me to share me my heart with you through this blog!

For those of you who are on the perpetual journey of becoming a Proverbs 31 woman through our study: A Wife's Biblical Submission - I am so grateful to be traveling this road with you! Thank you for coming with me, as it can get very lonely and discouraging, but with you sisters along me side, I am blessed!

Already comforted, knowing you're praying,

Hello fellow image-bearers of the Most High God!

I'm Sunny Shell and I'm an extremely grateful daughter of the LORD God Almighty. I'm also a wife to a loving and godly man, whom God has filled with kindness, wisdom and much mercy. My husband is my best friend and My Second Love.

I'd love for you to journey along with me as I share my life lessons, struggles and victories found only in Jesus. And I'd love to hear how God is growing you in your faith so that we might mutually be encouraged to press on toward the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Rom 1:11-12).

I'm delighted you found my little writing corner and I hope you come for another visit soon. May God's grace and peace be multiplied to your spirit.
