Christmas on the Sabbath: For man or for God?

“And He [Jesus] said to them, ‘The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath’...‘Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed’...Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. Today is a special day. Not only is it Sunday, a day that Christians gather for corporate worship of our Savior (Hebrews 10:24-25), but today is also Christmas; the day that over 2,000 years ago, the Son of God made Himself nothing by coming to earth, born in the image of His own creation — man (Philippians 2:6-7).
