About a week ago, I was contacted by the History Channel’s media group asking me to help promote “The Bible”, a new mini-series that was created and produced by Roma Downey, ( Touched By An Angel ) with her husband Mark Burnett (producer: The Voice , Survivor , Shark Tank , Celebrity Apprentice ). After prayerfully reviewing the materials and consulting with my wise husband, I stated that I was unable to participate in promoting this endeavor due to its highly unbiblical content, as well as their portrayal of championing the virility of man while palliating the glory, righteousness and holiness of God. God our Father revealed Himself through His holy word (the real Bible) to proclaim: God's righteousness; Man's depravity; Humanity's desperate need for a Savior—the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From the words of the creators and producers of not - "The Bible" mini-series, their purpose is to portray God: As an angry God who punishes the "bad...

Graduating throughout life
In approximately two more months, our youngest son will be graduating from high school, receiving a diploma, then moving onto college, where he'll graduate and receive a degree...and so on. Throughout our lives, we're all graduating from one "hood" to another. Person-hood (conception-death): is achieved as soon as we are conceived and we're completely dependent on our mother's love, care and protection in accordance with God's word (Ps 127:3; Prov 6:16-19); Infant-hood (birth-2 years): is achieved when God decides we're ready to live outside of our mother's wombs, where we require our parents to provide all the love, food, protection and care necessary for us to thrive physically and spiritually (Deut 6:4-9); Toddler-hood (2-5 years): is achieved when we move from our mother's milk, to eating solid food, from crawling to walking, from crying to using words as a form of communication—this is the time when we first begi...

180 movie review: to abort or not to abort
To abort or not to abort...that is the question. But what is the answer? I mean, the right answer? It’s amazing how many people establish an opinion on important issues without having all the facts. If we're honest, we'll all admit, everything we hear or read in the media isn't “the whole truth and nothing but the truth”. The media (depending on the source), will either skew facts or completely dismiss some, so the public will have no choice but to agree with the media representative's opinion. Personally, I don't believe the American people are so feeble-minded. I believe whether Christian or non-Christian, we're all endowed by our Creator with a conscience that allows us to distinguish between right and wrong. And if we're provided with accurate information regarding any issue, we are capable of making decisions that are right in the sight of God. Almost one and a half years ago (September 26, 2011), Living Waters Publications (LWP) rele...

Sexual Immorality Promotes Abortion, Dignity Promotes Life
No longer be deceived by Planned Parenthood's lies. January 22, 2013 marked the 40 year anniversary of Roe v. Wade ; since that day, nearly 60 million innocent, unborn babies have been slaughtered within, what ought to be the safest place on earth—their mother's womb. There are three basic positions on the topic of abortion: Pro-Life , Pro-Choice and what I call, "Pro-Inbetweeners". Pro-Life: life begins at conception ; babies are gracious gifts from God Almighty to the mother and father, whether or not they're deserving of such a precious gift; all human beings are created in God's image, therefore abortion, that is, terminating the life of an unborn child, should not be allowed for any reason; whether rape, incest, disabilities or even the possible death of the mother if she carries the child to full-term. Pro-Choice: the beginning of life is relative and uncertain; the unborn baby is considered a living being only when he/she is "wanted...

Jesus Christ: Sympathizer or Savior?
From the time God the Father spoke of Christ through the Old Testament prophets, to Jesus' first coming, death, resurrection and ascension; human beings have muddled the true character, nature and purpose of the magnificent Son of God. This false image of Christ has been created in writing, art, online media, and sadly, even from some pulpits. Multitudes continue to depict Christ in a way that equates Him to mortal man, rather than receive Him as He is—the immortal, almighty, righteous, just, holy and good God...in human flesh. "Now it happened that as He [Jesus] was praying alone, the disciples were with Him. And He asked them, 'Who do the crowds say that I am?' And they answered, 'John the Baptist. But others say, Elijah, and others, that one of the prophets of old has risen.' Then He said to them, 'But who do you say that I am?' And Peter answered, 'The Christ of God.'" ~Luke 9:18-20 With relativism becomi...

The President's speech: The beginning of the end?
By the awesome grace and indelible mercies of our great and sovereign God, our country has stood strong and vibrant for nearly 237 years. In those years, never has there been a leader of this country in which the public has been more enamored with; enough to attribute to him the holy nature and names that Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords, alone, is worthy to behold. Even as nefarious as this sounds it's not the most abominable behavior. No, the most abominable behavior is that the President allows people to wickedly refer to him as "our "lord and savior" (Jamie Foxx, 2012 Soul Train Music Awards, video below). Joining Jamie Foxx's blasphemous statement, Newsweek's January 18, 2013 cover, dubbed the President's second inauguration as the "second coming". If these atrocities aren't enough to cause you to fall on your knees and pray for the souls of the lost (which includes our President and his family), then you mu...
The marriage triangle: You, your spouse and kids fulfilling God's purpose
One of the greatest blessings in a marriage is having children. And one of the most damaging aspects of a marriage are—having children. How do you keep your marriage and parenting the blessings that God meant them to be? You do it by remembering these four things: why God created marriage and children, what purpose they serve, who they're for, and the priority they have. God created both marriage and children to make you holy rather than provide you with temporal and sporadic periods of happiness. Marriage and children should always draw you to your knees in prayer and thanksgiving to God as you humbly ask for His wisdom and love so that you might deal rightly and kindly with your spouse and your children (Philippians 4:4-6). All aspects of a Christian's life is contained in the greatest commandment, "love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength" and to "love your neighbor as ...

Abortions and its effect on marriages: The ugly and rarely spoken truths
Though 18.4% of abortions are performed on married women, the aftermath of the abortion and its effect on her and her husband are rarely discussed, researched or published. There are many arguments for abortion , but none of them are sufficient to relieve the husband or wife’s unbearable grief from participating in their own child’s death. Most abortions are performed within the first trimester, during the time the baby is not viable. This is an elementary argument. Why? Because it is common knowledge that babies are not capable of surviving independently, from the day they are born and at least, up until they are three years old. If a parent does not feed, cloth and provide adequate shelter for a child within this age range, the child will die. Every mother and father knows this is true. When is a baby considered alive? Are life and death processes or events? They are both events. You are either alive or you are dead. And nothing dead ever continues to grow and de...

The Debate: Public School vs. Homeschool - Part 2
Most of us are well acquainted with Proverbs 3:5-7 and could probably recite it in our sleep. But it seems often, that the Scriptures we’ve heard for years, no longer reverberate as the simple, most integral note of our every heart beat— trusting God in everything , for everything . Remember when you first became a Christian? When you first met our Savior, heart to heart? Remember how scared you were to take a breath or even a single step without His voice (through His Word) leading you? Remember how quickly you would obey and how slowly you were inclined to do anything you weren’t sure of, just in case it was not God's will for your life...specifically? Remember when you didn’t trust your own knowledge of His Word (Prov 3:5), but would go back over and over again to make sure you read it right; then would pray for the Holy Spirit to teach you God’s truth so you would not only know Scripture, but understand it according to God’s heart and not yours (Jer 9:23-24, 1 ...
