Suffering Doesn't Always Produce Compassion

The mercy and kindness of my Abba, God and Father truly has no end. The photo I used to create the above Scripture-Picture is of a precious, black swallowtail butterfly catepillar, enjoying the fennel I grow in my garden; for my family and loved ones  and for it. I took this picture because it reminded me of something King David once penned, When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,      the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him,      and the son of man that You care for him? ~Psalm 8:3-4, ESV and also this passage from Psalm 22 that reflect our Savior's agony on the Cross of Calvary, But I am a worm and not a man,      scorned by mankind and despised by the people. All who see Me mock Me;      they make mouths at Me; they wag their heads; "He trusts in the LORD; let Him deliver Him;      let Him rescue Him, for He delights in Him!" ~Psal...

Satan Is Not Sensational

That may be an odd title for a blog post. But it's true. Satan is not sensational. He is subtle, sneaky, and a complete liar. However, one thing Satan does not mind at all, is for you and I to believe that he is in fact, sensational—just like the movies (e.g., The Exorcist, etc.) and so much of the world (e.g., Halloween celebrations, paranormal shows, etc.) like to portray him. Because if we believe the lie that he is sensational and performs his works of evil in sensational ways that frighten and confuse us, then we will easily be deceived by him when he comes to us disguised as an angel of light (2 Cor 11:14)—as our friend, rather than our foe. If we believe Satan is more powerful and has more influence over us than God has allowed him, then we will fear him rather than fear God. We will live our lives making Satan bigger than God. And Satan loves that! Afterall, thats the reason he was cast out of Heaven and destined for eternal damnation. God created Hell just for him and th...

Jesus Knows and Loves Me Best

When I read,  You have kept count of my tossings;      put my tears in Your bottle.      Are they not in Your book? Then my enemies will turn back      in the day when I call.      This I know, that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise,      in the LORD, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.      What can man do to me? ~Psalm 56:8-11, ESV        and, I tell you, My friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. But I will warn you whom to fear: fear Him who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into Hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him! Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your heard are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows. ~Luke 12:4-7, ESV I can breathe. I can inhale the truth of my Ab...

Not Everyone Is As They Seem

Not everyone poor is humble. Not everyone rich is prideful. Not everyone battered is beaten. Not everyone spoiled is rotten. Not everyone meek is kind. Not everyone popular is rude. In this world, we assume much about others based on our limited experiences, and finite understanding of what we know (or think we know). We can't help it. We're all very quick to assume the best of ourselves or those we love and respect (whether or not we truly know them), while at the same time, presuming the worst of others. If a person we love or respect is thoughtless, we say, "Well, I'm sure they have a good reason. They probably have a lot on their mind or plate." But if it's someone we dislike or don't know at all, we say, "Whell! I guess they don't realize they're not the only people in this world!" I do this. Do you? Unfortunately, I don't stop there. There are times where I presume the worst of people I actually do know and love and respect if...

Hello, It's Been A While...

According to my last blog post, it's been about a year. Wow. Truly, time flies when...well, when...🤷 So why has it taken me a year to write again? Lots of reasons. For those who've been following me on social media and/or have signed up for an email subscription to my blog, you already know about my 24/7 pain and weakness (due to 13 years of childhood persecution) that the LORD kindly and lovingly has and continues to faithfully endure me through since I was 33 (which was 24 year ago). And by His grace, in 2008, the LORD inspired my darling husband, Jim, to suggest that I begin using the spiritual gifts (teaching, exhorting, etc.) the LORD gave me when I became too broken in mind and body to minister to young girls and women in person. When I started, this blogging thing was new. So new, I had never heard of it, before my darling husband encouraged me to remain faithful rather than become stagnant in my life in Christ. He had to explain it all to me. Frankly, I thought the who...

I Will Not Refuse What Refines

As my earthly tent continues to weaken, due to the the 13 years in which the Lord Jesus carried me through a brutal and torrential storm of persecution, my mind and heart delight in these words from my Lord, All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst…” ~Matthew 11:27-30, John 6:35 On January 8, 2020, I will undergo my 3rd heart surgery (cardiac ablation for atrial fibrillation) and 13th surgery within an 11-year-period of time. Less invasive methods for my fifth ar...
